With its robust performance, spacious accommodations, and abundant standard amenities, the Toyota Tundra has always been a truck that goes beyond the status quo. Now, the Tundra is evolving, as Toyota is set to launch the next generation of its iconic truck this December, building on a fearless legacy of reliability, durability, and quality. Engineered and assembled in the United States, the 2022 Tundra is redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up to deliver even more toughness, capability, and innovation. Here's a quick overview of some of the highlights of the most advanced Tundra ever.

Powerhouse Performance

Toyota's expert engineering team designed the all-new 2022 Tundra to be even tougher, with a new high-strength steel boxed ladder frame, an aluminum-reinforced composite bed, and a fully redesigned multi-link rear suspension. The result gives the 2022 Tundra stout max towing and payload capacities of 12,000 pounds and 1,940 pounds, respectively. Under the hood, the 2022 Tundra finds mountains of motivation in an energetic yet efficient 3.5-liter i-FORCE twin-turbo V6 powerplant that sends 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque to the wheels via responsive and precise new 10-speed automatic transmission.

And if you're looking for even more power and efficiency, the i-FORCE MAX hybrid equips a new bell-housing motor system, pushing the potent powertrain to a prodigious 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque.

TRD Tenacity

The all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra offers a pair of Toyota Racing Development packages for Modesto drivers looking to explore beyond the boundaries of the asphalt. The TRD Off-Road package adds off-road suspension with monotube Bilstein shocks, protective skid plates, 18-inch TRD wheels. Additionally, 4x4 TRD Off-Road models will gain an electronic-locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select, and Crawl Control.

For maximum trail-tackling toughness, the TRD Pro builds on the 4x4 TRD Off-Road with 2.5-inch diameter FOX internal bypass shocks, a 1.1-inch suspension lift, exclusive 18-inch TRD wheels, and all-terrain tires.

Intelligent Towing

The 2022 Tundra offers several available towing features to simplify the trailering experience. Tow/Haul and Tow/Haul+ modes increase throttle response to adapt to different load sizes. Several cameras around the truck allow you to see multiple angles, including the available Panoramic View Monitor, viewable via the available 14-inch central touchscreen. Additionally, features like Trailer Back Guidance and Straight Path Assist make it easier to maneuver a trailer when in reverse.

Toyota Audio Multimedia

The 2022 Tundra is the first Toyota model to offer the automaker's innovative Audio Multimedia. The advanced infotainment system features the all-new Human Machine Interface feature that enhances interaction with the vehicle's functions via sight, touch, and intuitive voice commands. Toyota Audio Multimedia boasts five times the processing power of its predecessor and includes features like over-the-air updates, enhanced multi-touch capability, a virtual Intelligent Assistant, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2022 Tundra comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen and offers a huge 14-inch display as an available option.
